Paul RobinsonRe-Election to the HIRSA Board, Paul Robinson, Kona Coast Divers, Kailua-Kona, Big Island-----Position Statement First and foremost I believe that a "trade association" needs to be sensitive to the issues impacting all of its members. Consensus building within the association is essential in order to present a "united front" towards any issues that may threaten the diving industry as well as issues that can enhance the various businesses of the membership. During the past 2 years on the HIRSA Board and acting as Treasurer, I believe I have contributed to the efforts of:
If re-elected to the
HIRSA board, my goal would be to continue fighting the current hot issues
that threaten the membership's businesses but equally as important, to
step back, talk with the membership, and establish a plan that would set
a definite direction with measureable milestones as HIRSA moves forward.
It would be great if HIRSA could become more proactive in promoting our
businesses and less reactive to those issues that threaten the same. However,
with our limited financial resources and as a "volunteer" staff,
proactive activity will have to continue to remain a lower priority to
defending our businesses. Home
